Kristin Shaw, LEED AP is a mobility and sustainability leader with more than a decade of experience helping cities build cleaner, safer, and more connected ways to move. Her work centers on expanding access, supporting clean‑energy transitions, and designing transportation systems that reflect the everyday realities of the communities who rely on them—especially across Detroit and Michigan. Her work spans EV‑charging strategy, smart‑city projects, clean‑freight innovation, climate‑ready infrastructure, and emerging mobility technologies. Kristin is known for turning complex challenges into practical, people‑centered solutions that strengthen neighborhoods and improve everyday life. She collaborates across government, utilities, industry, academia, and community groups to move good ideas into action.
Shaw is the co‑author of Women Driven Mobility (SAE) and serves as Chair of the Climate Action Committee on the Detroit City Council Green Task Force. As a 2023 Change Collective Leadership Fellow, she is part of a national network of civic innovators working toward more inclusive and responsive local government. She also serves on the Sheffield Transition Team, helping shape Detroit’s next chapter through a people‑first mobility vision focused on opportunity and stronger neighborhood connections.
